I always used to bet on American football based on which team looked and sounded cool: I’d pick the biggest dude on the roster and go with his team, easy peasy. But a lot of the time that strategy didn’t work. The NFL doesn’t like lazy bets. In fact, just one bet can ruin it for you. That’s why I started using YesPlay’s pre-match section because the key numbers are right there: who is going to win, total points, and handicap.
Two numbers
Open https://yesplay.bet/sports/prematch/american-football and you’ll see all types of cool bets like winner price, total (over or under), and a handicap (the spread), plus a button that says “More markets”. Click that and you’ll find even more options! The website is very simple to , so you’ll easily find the USA. NFL and USA. NCAA options. Keep in mind that betting on a “Team A wins” is often not worth it. If a team is +4.5, you’re betting that they’ll either win or lose by no more than four points.
Overtime counts
You can find these markets on YesPlay with a label called “incl. overtime”. This means that the bet still counts during any extra time. The additional points can completely change the outcome of an Under bet, or even affect a close handicap.
Before you bet on totals in a soccer game, ask yourself, do I see this match ending in overtime? If so, the spread can feel less fragile than a total.
Price check
YesPlay uses decimal prices, so make sure you’re happy with everything before you hit that Confirm button. A line at 1.88 is asking you to believe the outcome will occur 53% of the time. If you think the odds are different, skip it. If you put R42 on a line with 1.88 odds, you get back about R79. Also, before the game begins, decide how much you’re going to spend. That way you won’t wake up with a heart attack when you realize your wallet is empty.
